The HR2 Cable Protection Ramp lets you drive over cables, hoses and pipes without causing them damage. The tough rubber has been tested with HGVs, allowing you to work without moving wires every time a vehicle needs to pass by. The opening flap on the top of the ramp gives you simple access to the cables and hoses, giving an easy way to position and remove them.
This ramp has a visible yellow cover with a checker plate anti-slip surface moulded in high-grade polypropylene. It can be used as a semi-permanent solution thanks to 4 fixing holes which allow you to bolt the cable ramp to the surface. It is commonly used as a temporary solution on construction sites, public roads and factories, as it’s light enough to carry but will stay in place if a vehicle passes over it.
All sections of this protection ramp feature an interlocking system and the modular design allows you to build the ramp that is suited to your needs. Angled corner sections and end sections allow the ramp to fit into difficult spaces and finish off the ramp to give a professional look.
Appropriate warning signs should always be used with the ramp to alert drivers. The recommended speed for this ramp is 5mph. If speeds exceed this damage may occur to the ramp and to the vehicle.
Yes, HR2 cable ramps are suitable for use with HGVs. However, please note -
- There is a 10 tonne weight limit per axle
- Speed must be limited to 8km/h
- Suitable only for occasional HGV traffic
- Must be placed on level surfaces
- Cannot be left unnattended while in use
- Lids should be fully closed and inspected regularly
Cable ramps are suitable for temporary cable protection on a project. If you require permanent protection we recommend using a speed ramp with cable channels instead. Cable ramps should not be used as a traffic calming measure to slow vehicle traffic.
A HR2 ramp can protect up to 3 cables at once. Each HR2 is fitted with 2no. 68 x 50mm and 1no. 55 x 50mm channels. These are ideal for protecting general power cables and power lines on site.
HR2s are very easy to install and can be attached end on end with other HR2 ramps. The loose lay design means that no installation is required. Corner and end sections are also available on request.
