How the heavy-duty HGV wheel stops work
The wheel stop will bring the trucks to a halt within the parking bay. The driver will feel the physical bump caused by the kerb and indicate where to stop.
The kerb has been designed with a more gradual slope on the rear of the unit. This allows the driver to reverse the vehicle back over the wheel stop, reducing vehicles becoming trapped or stranded.
